Description Not my most exciting piece, but something I was kind of in the mood for doing. This is my take on the Himmapan Lions [link] for BAM. I was originally going to do these guys in traditional art, but I didn't like the idea of drawing lions over and over, and having to come up with new poses for them. So I made a lion template, some with modified feet or horns to those that apply.

These lions, (the ones that look fairly normal, anyway) are not like lions that exist. They are bigger, about the size of large cattle, have longer necks and legs, and they have opposable dewclaws on all their feet.

I named the genus "Iridileo" or "Rainbow Lions" for obvious reasons.

1. Buntu Rajasri (I. flavus) - fallen leaf colored "pure lion"
2. Kala Sriha (I. negris) - black, herbivorous "pure lion" with a deadly roar
3. Kraisorn Rajasri (I. crudus) - particularly ferocious and stocky "pure lion" with red points
4. Loto (I. ferrugenus) - its brown... it looks like a lion...*yawns*
5. Singha Khak Kar (I. corticus)- purple, scaley, w/ elephant legs
6. Gaysorn Singha (I. bifipod)- gray with a cloven hoof
7. Tinna Sriha (I. eqqus) - red, herbivorous "pure lion" with horse hooves
8. To (I. bicorn) - a horned (antlered ?) lion

Don't lions belong to the genus "Panthera"?
