Woops, my hand slipped and I created another Skyrim character. This is Sadja. She's brash and short and she'll sing as she smashes your head in with her trusty Warhammer, Dabhi.This was a quick sketch - I wanted to see what I could produce in a short amount of time. I'm aiming to loosen up my style, and have been doing gesture drawing, quick expressions, etc. So I hope to be submitting more sketches like this. Maybe I'll collect a few and put them in one. Thoughts? Which would you prefer: single submissions like this, or a page of sketches? ♥

I, for one, always approve of sketchdumps. Especially if you're doing a lot of gestures, and not much that's subject-specific.
This character looks like a total cutie, and sounds like a total cutie. Even her warhammer's name sounds cute to me.

Sketchdumps are always cool to see, but of course these single submissions give people a closer look at the characters. So maybe it will just depend on which character you're drawing and if you're trying to convey anything specific...?
Ugh I've been trying to loosen up my own style as well because I get all these ideas but don't have time to draw them, and if I was working faster in a simpler style I'd be able to accomplish more. My painting of Nova for the art trade actually went pretty fast, and I'm still pleased with how it turned out, so that was good practice

Haha, sounds like me. That's my goal - to accomplish more with a looser, simple style. Your painting of Nova is beautiful! And you completed it very quickly. I think you can definitely achieve that sort of thing all the time if you keep practicing.
