For those of you who haven't noticed, I am a massive geek.
So when I was recently introduced to the album "The Protomen" by the band of the same name, and I realized it was a concept album about Megaman, I couldn't resist buying the album.
I'm actually listening to it as I write this. For something like the tenth time in a day and a half.
Anyway, the album tells an alternate version of the original Megaman story, in which the world is already under Dr. Wily's dominion and Dr. Light is a brilliant man living in a run-down apartment, trying to find a way to free mankind from its slavery. His first attempt - Protoman - was defeated by Wily's forces in front of the human masses who wouldn't lift a finger to save their would-be savior. He later creates Megaman, but warns him not to fight, because it is a battle he can't win. Megaman ignores him, intent on liberating mankind and avenging his fallen brother, but discovers that Protoman is very much alive - and working for Dr. Wily.
