When I looked at this picture, I was so jealous because it's amazing and I wanted to know what camera you used, and when it said D40 i was so happy!
What kind of lens did you use? Was it just the standard one?

yes, I used my D40 with my lenses 18-200mm ^^
I just used it in 200mm, with auto focus
the secret is use a dark background in a beauty place to reflect ^^
