Description
The Various transformed troopers used by the Astart empire compared to an astart common spear infantry. They are created by taking regular jamesianoids and putting them into a transformation tube for a week. In Astarte's Challenge they could also be made with a soul piece.

The Astart transformed trooper program started in 467, when the Astart empire had lost a lot of territory. This included most of their original homeland and the Ssyayan Valley. This shrank the Astart recruitment pool dramatically.
Astarte initially tried using monsters to help bolster the ranks but the Monsters had to be made poorly in order to keep them loyal and make any monster rebellions easy to crush. This made the monster troops little more then cannon fodder.

Astarte abandoned the quantity strategy and shifted to a quality one. She helped develop new "Transformation Tubes" that would take a regular jamesianoid and over a period of a week, turned them into a dikizhatu. Dikizhatu Mk.1(Big Fur Person) were strong and loyal and to start, decisively effective.

They proved successful in the southern campaigns against the Ruustafarian knights and Atenist Remants. They were able to wrestle female Junatu to the ground and finish them off, taking the tacticle advantage away from the Koronians. They even put fear into the hearts of the Lunarites and their native goons.

But success is fleeting and the Dikizhatu Mk.1 got owned many times.
They got owned by the Jamesians, who used camel mounted artillery to shred them in the Azagara war. They got thonked by the rocks and fire pots dropped by the Ryuutu, Ahrite Zrama and Aratashan Zrama in the Invasion of Aratasha. And they were subverted and corrupted by the Cult of Ahriman and were turned against the Astarts and destroyed the city of Takurium.

Their constant failures and the Takurium incident made Astarte consider the Dikizhatu Form to be an obsolete failure. The imperial Astart Armies stopped transforming people during the 550's.
Astarte would focus on creating a replacement, a smaller, scalier and tougher version, with a prehensile tail, able to double the attack amount. This was the Digyokatu (Big River Person) and with the help of Xerxes' soul pieces would be Astarte's replacement.

The Dikizhatu Mk.2 was a form developed by Lord Bardaiya and was inspired by the corpses of Ahrite Dikizhatu, who had an organic exoskeleton. The Dikizhatu Mk.2 is an Astart imitation of this. Lord Bardaiya Hopes this armor can help protect them from ranged attacks.
