Is there any animal that can outrun their fate? In the halls of Cherryton Academy, this question is left silently unanswered, as carnivores and herbivores mature and prepare for the world ahead of them. But, for a rabbit like Legosi, it’s a question that lingers and persists every day. Based on the hit manga by Paru Itagaki, BEASTARS: REFLECTION follows Legosi after having a chance encounter with a wolf, as he and those around him are dragged into the spiral of chaos caused by the murder of a classmate. The story uses and likewise diverges from the plot of the original, featuring the main cast in a scenario opposite of the original. Production of the comic will hopefully begin in December or January, and before that point, I hope to put out a beta page to test the waters and demonstrate what the comic will be like. This comic is a passion project for the original work, and if you haven’t read or watched Beastars, I’d encourage you to do so! Regardless, the comic will be designed to be read whether or not you’ve seen the original, and will be its own story rather than a follow-up or continuation. I hope that my comic will be an interesting take on the concepts and events presented in Paru Itagaki’s work, and show my appreciation for the story that she brought to so many people.
