Mind-bending. I can't quite tell if she's lying upside down against a wall and the ceiling is a pool portal the koi just float through, or if it's the other way around and she's on the ceiling and the fish are swimming down to the floor. Either way, the wall is the only thing I can see as part of reality in this thing, and it's kind of trippy.
In short, I love this work to pieces. The colour scheme, the surreal look, the shadowy effects and noir-ish light, and of course, the lovely koi. I don't care if I can't tell if they're swimming up or down, they still look gorgeous and floaty.
