Description
I!!!!!!! AM BACK BABY!!!!!!!!Finally after, A move to a new house, a summer full of events, Procrastinating a lot, fighting a small case of depression, and now a recent leg pain, I finally got this done. (sort've).
This is officially my first sprite animation on Flash CS6. When I mean officially, I mean a animation that you can find by just typing it, and there it is, instead of finding something good by luck that gets over shadowed by crap, plus some good quality graphics. (if not Decent).
--Sadly though this may or may not be my last, because I'm using creative cloud from adobe themselves. I'm paying them $20 a month, and I have until the end of December to decide rather to renew my membership for another year, or stop paying them and stop using the product.---
That's why I had to cut this short. That and I got tired of working on this. This was supposed to be done before August started, but I put too much heart into this animation, when I shouldn't have been.
I hope I credited the right people, because I used sprites from alot of packs. Making the credits made me feel uneasy. They work, but theres a sound glitch when you press the back button, that I don't how to fix or how it got there in the first place.
If You don't know who Koolzone is, he's a sprite animator (was or is) on hatena (when it was still hip) that made really good flipnotes, that inspired me to stoop to his level in the end. Yeah, before I even knew AlvinEarthworm existed, Koolzone caught my attention first, thats why AE is at the bottom, because of the order of inspiration. He gose by the name of Azure, but since the shut down I haven't heard from him since.
Another person I forgot to credit was for showing me Audacity. I suggest you check his tutorial about countdowns, because his advice can help with what you need for stuff like this, your wanting to be a animator. Heres the link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwq9B0…
Also a big thanks to for the lightning effect. He makes great effects I suggest checking him out.
The Beta testers are people I invited to my stash and commented about so far to help make this better, so don't be confused.
Well I did what could for this video. Basically the bottom line is, the real purpose of this is for me to master flash animation, get your reaction and opinions, so I can do better for the next one, and seriously my next one is something alot of you guys have Been wanting for a long time. I just hope Death battle doesn't beat me too it.
Yeah another thing, I KNOW, death battle killed the debate between both franchise's, but thats not going to stop me for making stuff like this, because they're popularity is still unmatched. If there's some of you out there (and I'm sure there is) that just hate mario and sonic just because they're a butt hole. Then clean your act, drink some mouthwash, get a girlfriend, and walk away.
With that said, what do you think of this animation? If You like it that much, I might come back to finish in one video, when I finish my ultimate project. I want opinions and suggestions so I can do much better.
Well thats that. Leave your comments below, and help support for more.

Small Update:
I posted this on youtube, but there is a small difference, some parts had to be cut out, and the music doesn't stop.

It's good. Really good. :meowL
One or two of the tweens are a bit slowly, not many, nothing major, just some food for thought for later animations.

I suggest you start preparing. Meaning if your a sprite animator, I suggest start practicing some sprite work, or if your a 2d animator, I would find a way to practice better.
Trust me. You don't want to be on your dsi for the rest of your life. Your not going to get the attention you deserve that way. Trust, I found that out the hard way.
Also, I shot suggest getting toon boom instead of flash, because you only have to pay for it once, instead of 30 a mounth.

Sorry I don't have a tutorial on how to do this.
I might plan to make 1 for my you-tube someday.
However I have a alternative you could use that can help you.
Go here, It's one of my resources youtube to help people learn stuff:
www.youtube.com/playlist?list=…
Other than that, you just got to learn off youtube tutorials like this one that revolve around flash CS6 or whatever version you use.
Also my secret is to observe other sprite animation, and visualize alot what your going to animate.

sorry if I didin't answer you. I was caught to the neck in homework.
The effects used here, were mostly mugen/street fighter/ Megamam power fighters effect sprites, but some were home made by my amego shadow624, and myself.

First off, I had some practice on a site called hatena, which of course was overwhelmed by air heads who rated scams, junk notes, and stolen crap over good quality notes, and made alot of good animators leave.
The program I used to make this is Flash CS6, and it has a few features thats a little better than Macromedia flash 8.
And believe it or not, this video is a practice video for me.

Hey, dude. This is Koolzone/Azure, but now I'd like to be known as BlueZone.
I had a nostalgic moment and thought of searching around to see if any of my buds were still active, and I'm glad to see there are still people out there who remember me. I'm honored to have inspired so many people, though I'm not much of a big-shot anyways! Haha! When Flipnote Studio 3D comes around, I'll probably dip back into the animation scene. I haven't done anything animation-wise since the end of Hatena, but I don't rust when it comes to animation because I'm a perfectionist. Anyways, I just want to say, you did a fantastic job on this! Don't quit animating, man! Art sticks around forever and people remember you for it.
If you want to follow my channel on YouTube, I upload a lot of Smash Bros. related videos - and just so you know, I play Super Smash Bros. competitively! I constantly place in my region, which is in Alberta, Canada. I keep making Top 10 in our provincials, so that's good. I'm still improving. This is one of the few places to keep in contact with me, as I don't really use DA that much. Heheeeeee...

Wow. It's nice to here from you again, I actually thought I never would, but this is a surprise.
Thanks for the watch, and the advice. I added you to just now. Things have been slow for me as well, but I'm pulling through the best I can.
Also, I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but I heard rumor that Flip-note Studio 3d Got canceled due to a pervert reason Nintendo took noticed too on another program on the 3DS. Trust me, just ask Shadow624 and Mr.video/Felt95.
Speaking of which, I'm also active a little at Shad's personal site. Here's the link: shadow624sprites.webs.com/
Here you'll find a lot of the best creators and artist of hatena (and possibly some old friends and fans too). Nothing much happens here, we make discussions, find interesting videos to show and post them there, post art, and Shad updates on some stuff every now and then. Think of it as a place to start fresh again.
I also have YouTube too as well if you want to subscribe: www.youtube.com/channel/UCNWHw…
It's good to here from you again.

I know about the supposed "cancellation", but it hasn't been confirmed officially by Nintendo themselves. The Flipnote Studio 3D site hasn't been taken down either, so it's safe to say that they are still working out the kinks for Flipnote 3D. We'll get it eventually. I don't know how to use Flash or anything else... It seems too complicating. x. x I want to make awesome stuff, but I don't have the patience to learn Flash or whatever else. I felt super comfortable with Flipnote and it made animating fun for me, so I still have hope. Haha!
Would you happen to have any idea what animation program would be best suited for me? I'm really looking to get back into the animation scene. This dilemma of mine is gonna have to hit the curb sooner or later. I have a drawing tablet too, if that's anything that could help my case.

Well I'll believe it if I see Flip-note studio 3D comes out, but I can't go back to that hobby. Before hatena closed I spent the rest of my time working on a Marathon for master mecha sonic, but it was starting to drive me insane. When found out about the closing, I felt like a failure to my fans. I was going to use the marathon to try to make a difference for hatena, but I only made a half difference when I was forced to post the finished flip-notes. Now today just thinking about hatena, feels like a phobia to me (much like how the AVGN is with Atari ET). I guess it was a bidder re-leaf when the site closed, but still I felt like crap. I needed to move on with my skills. Now I have flash (temporally maybe), and now I'm doing the goals I originally had planned for hatena. If you seen the last animated flipnotes I did, I'm working on it now (no its not the MMS marathon, but I need to keep it a secret).
Well the only program I can think of is flash. I can show you a 17 minute-ish tutorial on how to use sprites in flash for beginners, if you have the patience to watch that. Here's the link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTvoze… ;
Flash is really not that complicated, no more of that copying and pasting twice, heck, say you want use sonic's run, you can store it in a movie clip and use whenever you want, however there are a few complications with it.
Finding these programs is up to you, they say Macro media-flash 8 is the best, and some have put free downloads for it, but I Recommend Adobe Flash CS6, but you would have to pay for it. You could pay them 20 a month for the Student deal for that program, and other useful programs like photo shop and more. However according to shad and video, Macro media-flash 8 is more sprite friendly, but my dad has a problem with me using it because he thinks its a pirate item.
If you're really not interested, theirs another program called TOON BOOM, but I'm unfamiliar with it and I'm unsure it will use sprites or not. Here's the link to it: www.toonboom.com/ ; however you have to pay for it, and its just as complicated as flash.
That's pretty much my advise, if your looking for a animation program.

Dang dude, this is amazing. I already saw most of it, but the end result turned out nicely done. I especially loved how you added the level design in the background and foreground. That was actually something I was planning on doing for my animations(but I don't have enough time to animate anymore, well anything good quality that is.). There were a few mistakes here and there, but considering this is your first animation, I wouldn't sweat it. Skills are obtained through experience, so if you keep at it, you're sure to get better and better. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in the future!

Yeah that part was a little sketchy. I play the game before, but I forgot some of the level background, so I went with my wits and made random locations.
Of course me being sick of this fight, I'm trying to work on a even better fight.
A battle that some tried to finish, but others are too oblivious to do.

the entire animation is sweet but good lord.....
when Luigi attacked Sonic with lightning the lags were awful :c
and i was on the lowest quality
mostly the reason is amount of bitmaps you have in the fla. file
tracing bitmaps adds more lag to the animation you make

one dude once told me to not trace any bitmaps and use a different program to copy-paste sprites to flash (FireWorks MX 2004 for example)
oh and one thing
the animation would`ve been better if you changed some sounds, dbz sounds went out of style long ago
i suggest using sounds from SSF4
i have a sound pack of it

This fight I just posted was mainly to test my my skill in flash CS6. To avoid some nerd rage, they're just training in this video, so don't expect those stupid fatality's or noob finishers most sprite animators do.
However I got tired of working on this, and I wanted to work on my next one. Which will be better than this one.
