The other day in a post from a Final Fantasy page I saw that several people did not like the gameplay of FFXVI because it seemed like Dark Souls or Devil May Cry, I think it is more similar to DMC (I think maybe you already know why xD) and Stranger of Paradise is more similar to Souls.

Well as I really like FF and DMC, I think it's great that they put a much more dynamic gameplay than ever, (although I don't really like the style of it being a more medieval world like XIV) so just now I remember that something similar happened with Metal Gear xD although I haven't played Revengeance yet but I've always wanted to do it precisely because it was like that new DMC game that I wanted in those years instead of the reboot.

In any case, Final Fantasy has been a saga that has eventually (maybe slowly) changed the game system and it is something interesting, I think that just as each installment almost always begins a new story and characters, also offer another experience in terms of gameplay. I think that's an advantage that have over other series.
