Description
No this isn't a companion to 'The Empty Hall' recent pics but I did draw inspiration from them for practice with scenery sake.

Right off the bat, yeah the pose looks really similar to the one I used for Ravus, but, what you see now ended up being a fall back from the starting idea. Aranea was supposed to be facing the other way, looking downward while holding her helmet but, I couldn't get said helmet to work right (how do you move an object like that from it's original position, but keep it's bones intact without it becoming skewed when trying to move it?) ugh. So, I settled for a really basic position and gave her a spear to hold with a forward stare.
These type of standing poses are easy and simple enough when ideas don't pan out. I just hate doing them back to back (and im a little regretful i probably do them way too much). It bothered me to the point this was almost trashed on the spot out of embarrassment. I suppose the only reason i'm posting it now is because I dont want the work to go to waste, so just ignore the 'same look' effect.
Also, no there's nothing sticking out of Aranea's head, lol. That's the end of the spear. A resize was needed so that she could still hold the weapon and the tip would at the same time be close to the ground. Obviously it's not her default spear, but I went with this just because.

Anyway, I DO like how the rest of it came out. The only lights are the ones in the scenery itself. There IS a world light but it had no effect on the inside and was used to enhance the stained glass windows. Not sure if it flows well but I'd like to think there's a feel to it ^^ I'm happy with how the lights turned out and the reflection on the floor. Also yay for more camera practice lol

The original theme idea I had for this was Aranea holding her helmet in some building occupied by the Empire and it's in that moment she's conflicted on what to do, right before she decides to switch sides for good. However since I had issues with the Helmet, I switched the pose to a determined look where instead of being contemplative, she's made her choice without doubt (but obviously hasnt made it widely known yet). As for an explanation about why she doesnt have her spear? I dunno, maybe someone overheard her decision to change sides and it was the closest weapon around for her to cut them down with to shut them up XD.
