Oh my gosh...solike i found this from a long time ago...can we say like...rforever ago...
Not many know no9r remember Princess Maple of SherbetLand....
Although...Her story never got out to the Public View...
This is in fact a Mario Character that exists but not Actively..and a Mario character I helped create.
Back in 1999(iforgot the year...bleah! I do believe, Camelot had a contest of Character Designs though it wasn't officially announced to the public......Yeah---from what i heard only 14 entries came in(not a national highlight) and Only 5 or 6 entries won...
those Characters, or part of the character Designs Were used in the Golf Tense... For Mario Golf 64.
Oh yeah in the Game Maple was like one of the final Unlockables...
I entered also, and of course this is not the entry iturned in...it was one of those i drew after the submission. after finding this..I cleaned it up a little and here it is.
Princess Maple...or Just Maple.
She was supposedly in my story a Princess who would have been interested in Bowser. Although Bowser would not want anything to do with her Cause he was all about kidnapping Princess Peach. She came from Sherbet Land you know the place with all the ice levels in the Mario Universe...? So yeah.

Originally I designed Maple with Black hair and her colors were mainly an indigo blue and pink, with white.
Though it was changed it can be noted that the new hair color given (golden/blond) very much worked too. Her so not matching princess dress was inspired by my sisters. Also her crown was meant to be Blueas opposed to Princess Peach's yellow crown and Princess Daisy's Red Crown.

Oh yeah about her golfing clothes...i wanted to show i was a nintendo fan and they inspired me to...Which is what explains the unbelivable and questionable "N" located althroughout parts of her dress and on her golf visor...

Other characters who won on the contest were : Plum, Sonny, Henry, Harry, and...uh i forgot....xD

*May I note....Out of allof these Passed characters...
The only one tohave made a feature beyong Mario Golf 64 was:
"Plum": who made a cameo appearance in Super Smash Brothers Melee on GameCube.....She was a Trophy on there i was like..COOOOL!~
But no maple....

Anyways, this style of mine was pretty basic...and ugh..horrible noses back then...xD its nice to look back at old art works sometimes...and this is one of those good moments....gee...i have improved lots..
