Well, this was fun! The finished, colored version of these lines , in which I tried to capture these cartoon characters in my own cartoon style. As I mentioned in the sketch, I feel like the How to Train Your Dragon style itself gives each character their own... character. I wanted to keep that in my drawing without completely copying the original cartoon style. I think I mostly got it, it was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

I chose to draw Movie 1's character designs this time around, partially because I already drew Hiccup and Astrid in HTTYD2's style last year, and also because on the whole I like these designs better. Though, Hiccup is smokin' hot in HTTYD2
