The model is mostly based on the SC1 cinematic/portrait/menu screen hydralisk (as opposed to the sprite or the Remaster), but the colorscheme is largely influenced by the StarCraft: Ghost hydralisk. (In SCG those firing flaps also closed in between attacks, unlike in SCBW).
