I like your method for drawing hands. The angles are really interesting, and the proportions are good too.

These look really awesome and anatomically correct. I like them a lot, but I have two questions. Where is the thumb in the knife one? I'm a little confused on that one.
And are the ones with the fists supposed to be a proper fist or just a fist-like pose? I ask because I actually fight, and I know that if you punch with a fist like that you will probably hurt yourself, but I also know that a lot of people make wrong fists. So if you are drawing a character that doesn't know how to fight... Plus one of them looks like it could be a knocking on the door pose, so maybe I'm mistaken.
I'm not trying to be mean, so please don't take it that way. I think that these are awesome. You are very talented, and it's better than what I could do The kamehameha one is especially awesome

ah, no, i dont take critics in a bad way dont worry ^^
teh one with teh knife, teh thumb is aligned at teh knife's handle, it does look weird honestly, but when i think when you'd put right shadows on it, it'll be more obvious as a thumb XD hope you get my point, im not good in explaining things.
and teh fist, its not for a fighting fist, its like 'lets go' fist (with some sort of a jump pose) ^^" if you get what i mean.

Ok, I kinda see it on the knife one now. It's more obvious on the red one. I def think if it was shaded or colored that it would make more sense.
And I get what you mean on the fist one. It still seems kinda wrong to me. I think the thumb should be across the middle joint of the fingers rather than so close to the fingernails. However, it's not terrible. Anatomically, it's still correct, and as I said before, they all look nice. I wish I could draw hands so nicely.

I think it's very good you're practicing, but I don't see how this is instructional to anybody else. What are other people supposed to do, eyeball your practice pictures? That's not going to help them.

its not really a tutorial, more on how i do hands, im not good in explaining, so i just showed how i draw in parts here. eyeball if what you call it but thats how i learned drawing hands, i didnt go to art class/school so i basically thought all by myself just by looking at pictures of hands. i was able to do it so i think i'll apply to others too ^^

I never went to art school either, but I know that copying what other artists are doing isn't the best way to learn because they may be doing it wrong (not that you're doing it wrong). I wasn't criticizing you, I was more criticizing the people who see these things and believe they're tutorials, not studies where somebody is just practicing. A bunch of these people who commented probably have just copied what you did instead of looking at their friends' hands or whatever.
Sorry to have a bunch of negative comments on your sketches. I'm just trying to tell some people that this is practice and not a tutorial.

How? This is what bothers me, because I've seen a bunch of these things on the front page now masquerading as tutorials (we both know which artist does that the most too, and people come to kiss her butt every single time she does it). Drawing things with stylized proportions instead of life drawing studies is not going to help anybody very much. I can't see why people comment on these things to say how helpful they are. They're only helpful to the person who's making them.
I'm not trying to insult the artist, like I said it's good that she's practicing...it's more that I can't for the life of me figure out why people think these things are useful.

Well, obviously hands are like the most difficult thing to draw (on the human body at least), and it's usually hard to look at them (especially your dominant hand) because it doesn't always turn out how you want it.

That's why you look at other people by going to a public place and drawing them, or asking friends and family to sit and pose for you. Copying what other artists do line for line is not the proper way to learn.

Maybe, but as for copying artists, pretty much learn from your mistakes and develop your own technique, in inspiration of the other artist of course. That's what I do/did at the least
