yeah i know every monster's power is amped up by double at least and the spellcaster's power has dropped considerably.

And a lot of other stuff you can't really explain in role play. The fighter can attempt a disarm only once per encounter. Why can't I do it 3 times? No retry? And they got rid of the grapple? In their universe is impossible to grab somebody! Come on!

That was a problem for him for a while, untill he figured out how to use linen wrappings around his feet.
As for the lack of common, aside from the elfin translator, he just tends to point and growl/bark/yip/chuckle. It gets the message across.

Well, ever since that one time where I got into a fight with a couple of dwarves, my buddies leave me at the front gates of any town we come across. There was that one time they tried to pass me off as a slave, but that didn't work out well.
