Description Finally, I was able to finish and scan new works. The first of them is a mini-drawing of the dromaeosaurid Kuru kulla from the Late Cretaceous of Mongolia.

Kuru is one of three dromaeosaurids from the Velociraptorinae subfamily described in 2021. It is known from an incomplete skeleton, which includes the bones of the pelvis and hindlimb. The remains were discovered back in 1991 by an American-Mongolian expedition in the Gobi Desert. Interestingly, in the description of the large dromaeosaur Achillobator, the name "Airakoraptor" is found, referring to the depicted animal, but not supported by a scientific publication and therefore being a nomen nudum. The animal has some features that distinguish it from other velociraptorines, such as a straight dentary bone, teeth with serrations on both sides and a longer metatarsals. The dinosaur is named after the deity Kurukulla, characteristic of Tibetan Buddhism and depicting him with four hands.

Here I portrayed Kuru walking towards the viewer, whom it is looking at with interest. Due to the choice of angle, some features of the animal, such as the shape of the jaw, are not shown.

Black gel ink pen, 2022.
