lolol there were some pictures where i blended into the wall with that sweater, it made me feel like a ninja.
but yeah; anyway, idk if you are familiar with a camera anatomy or not so i am going to pretend you have 0 idea so i can just cover all bases to explain crap since it is easier and i suck at explanations.
in the camera, there are two things that control how much light exposes your image-- the aperture and the shutter. the aperture is a a kind of adjustable hole that you can open or close to let more or less light in, so it changes how much light you let in. the shutter is kind of like blinds that you can either leave open for fractions of a second or entire seconds depending on the amount of light already in the room and how you want your picture to look. so it changes how much time the light is able to get in.
since the room i was in was pitch black and i knew i was going to do this kind of this, i opened up my aperture. with that, i also changed my shutter to be open for 20 seconds, so i could have time to do the writing. usually the built-in flash would come up and recognise me as the subject, but if you put it back up, the only amount of light is whatever is left in the room.
so the light i used was this really little high-power flashlight that my mom spent like 10 dollars on that i am pretty sure is able to freaking blind people. what i did with the light to write was point it at the camera and turn it on and off when needed, so i could write what i wanted to write, but backwards since i was facing the opposite way. since the shutter is open for so long and there is no other light, you're able to see where-ever that light was dragged while it was on.
idk if that made sense or not, lol. if it didn't, i'll just show you what i mean sometime. but yeah, lol. i don't think any blonde question gets that kind of answer, so it's cool.
