<333I hope this helps those of you who have asked me how I did my curl, and if anyone has any questions, I'd be more than happy to help!
I would have had pictures but... my camera... eats batteries alive. I recently filmed a try-out for the APH World Conference on youtube and... it ate my GBA batteries. D: It made me extremely sad. No more Zelda during study hall. ;AAA; So, sorry about my silly doodles. XD I hope the were more helpful than hindrances.
Anyhoo, once again, if anyone has questions, don't hesitate to note me or comment or something.

Then the purchase of one would be highly recommended. The lovely ladies of arda-wigs.com have fantastic wigs that are very reasonably priced, are wonderfully thick, and all around fantastic. If you don't have a wig, I can guarantee that the full effect of the cosplay won't be as good, unless your hair is dead up perfect, but no wig is better than a party city wig or something like that. There's nothing worse than a bad wig!

how do you make a curl if you want to use your real hair?

I would really, really recommend not using your real hair. A wig will, 99% of the time, look better. You can get them high-quality and quite cheaply from fantasysheep or cosplaywig off of ebay, or Arda Wigs C: They have a very fine selection, and are all very reliable! But if you absolutely have to use your real hair for some reason, you could probably use a curling iron, and get the basic shape, douse the curl with hairspray, and blowdry it to get the form to stay. It would flop about though- there's no real way to get a good curl with your real hair.

No, not me, my hair ahoge-s naturally DX. I was asking for my friend, because when she cosplays him, she uses a brown pipecleaner, which is good for temporary, but not really serious cosplays... D:
