As I was preparing to take pictures of this sculpture, I'd sat it on my bed for a moment to do something, and when I turned back all I could see was my cat, with huge moon eyes, crouched at the other side of the bed, and before I could react he pounces on the baby crow!
He didn't really do any damage, he was just playing. I didn't realize till after I took these pictures that the tip of one of the claws had broken off during my cats little 'hunter' moment. 
I wanted to try something a little different than just clay. So I used some blue marbles for the eyes, as I believe baby crows do have blue eyes? Which seems appropriate.
Sorry for the use of flash on my camera. I couldn't figure out how to pick up the details of the black feathers without it.
I'm a serious noob when it comes to photography..

It stands about 15cm tall. Painted with acrylic paint, and will probably get a coat of varnish at some point.
Sculpted with Super Sculpey/Sculpey Firm over a ball of aluminum foil.

Love the details on the little feathers, and the whole thing reminds me of the crow in the animated movie Peter and the Wolf (the 2006 one with the stop motion dolls, if you know it)

Yes, tie a balloon to it! (Though the bird´s body should be grey and the head, wings and tail black since the one in PATW is a hooded crow^^)

I was about to ask how you handled the feathers; I read your answer to the same question above. Fantastic work! For all its stylization, this is a believable sculpture, every bit as crow-like as the real bird. I absolutely love how you handled the ruffly feathers on the neck and over the feet, as well as the feet themselves. Those big blue eyes and grinning beak make me so happy!

Did you make each feather separately and apply them, or texture the clay?

I made each feather separately and put them on. Then carved out each individual line on the feathers by hand.
