Description HallWay...

6h modelling and staging.
Trash can, lights and wall-fan from turbo-squid but with my mats.
10h rendering + 4h postprocessing

Vue 5 Infinite + Photoshop CS2

Had to tweak the atmospheres and mats several times to make it less foto-realistic...

Hope you like it...

[Edit]: Removed some weird artifacts from closer ceiling light, doorway and wall-fan.

With your permission, I'd like to use this picture as an example in an art class I'm in. I can and will give you credit and if you like, I can show you the post I'm going to make. It's about shadow and texture and I think your picture represents it well.

Lemme know ^^

I loved those examples! They were fantastic!

Shading and texture increases the depth and realism of a picture easily.

On a picture of a person, shadow and texture can make the person or thing look more realistic even if it's on a piece of paper.Texture and shadow, when it comes to space, can make a corridor, or hallway for example, appear to be long or shorter then it actually is.

I think these picture, which I did ask permission to use so don't worry, represents 'shadow' quite well: [link] and [link]

That was the post I gave. I hope it's alright. I wasn't sure whether to put your name but I did indicate I got permission ^^

very nice, morbid and well done , the textures look a little stretched in places but other than that, stunning work.

Never played, nor seen, halo nor it's spaceships... although it's a pretty decent idea, i made me think of a certain scene on the Alien's spaceship...
Be warned though... this work will not see the light of DA for at least a month!

Maybe you should do some submissions under the 'wallpaper' sublet? I think this style would do well there.

I think I'm gonna download Vue 5

I did some things in 3d max but... that program is dificult!

Xispes In reply to owenray [2006-11-15 18:52:52 +0000 UTC]

Actually Vue is aimed at landscaping and rendering, you'll still need a good modeller, such as C4D!

TranscendenceEngine [2006-11-14 13:02:19 +0000 UTC]

That's quite ominous. The only gripe I have is the rather low contrast; there's no black in the picture itself, which makes it look rather dull.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Xispes In reply to TranscendenceEngine [2006-11-14 18:19:23 +0000 UTC]

Yes... and the image resolution is quite low aswell.
It was one of my first pics with Vue... so... yeah, i should re-render it sometime!

Thank you!

Looks amazing. What is Vue 5? Is it easier than Blender because I can't work that lol.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Xispes In reply to JordanNMason [2006-02-23 22:52:57 +0000 UTC]

Thanks!

Vue5 is a 3D program from e-on software, specialized in ambient and scenery creation and rendering (similar to terragen, but with better features i think). Blender is too complicated, i agree!

JordanNMason In reply to Xispes [2006-02-23 22:57:25 +0000 UTC]

o.O Better than terragen eh? I am alright witht hat. Not the best but if it is similar I am sure I can ge tthe hang of it. Anywhere, wher eI can....."Aquire" it freely? *Cough*

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Xispes In reply to JordanNMason [2006-02-23 23:03:51 +0000 UTC]

First off, thanks for adding me to ur f-list.

I would describe Vue as terragen meets bryce. It's also fully compatible with Poser.
As to aquiring it, it is not a free software, the basic version retails for 89$ and Infinite for 497$... as to "getting", i suppose it may be available on some torrents site or even e-mule...

JordanNMason In reply to Xispes [2006-02-23 23:14:44 +0000 UTC]

Cheers. *Does it the cheap way* lol. Bryce...Oh...I hate that lol...Never practiced much on it though lol.

Cheers man.

And don't mention. Thankyou for adding me
