Description Commission by the talented MatinPatron at my request.

The Pentastar Talks were a series of meetings held on the Reaper in 4 ABY between Moff Ardus Kaine and various political and business leaders from the Velcar Free Commerce Zone.
Elta Besk, of the Dynamic Automata, Ib Dekeet, an Imperial Governor, Gregor Raquoran, the Commerce Master Commissioner of the Velcar Free Commerce Zone, and Wyrn Otro of Galentro Heavy Works were all present in the talks.

They resulted in the signing of the Pentastar Alignment Treaty and the establishment of the Pentastar Alignment.

The Five Founders from left to right:

Elta Besk was the head of Dynamic Automata, a droid design and manufacturing corporation. She inherited the role from her father, Metron Besk, who founded the company.
Shortly after the Battle of Endor, Besk was invited to the Pentastar Talks aboard the Reaper. Imperial Moff Ardus Kaine, the convenor of the talks, was proposing the formation of the Pentastar Alignment. Besk agreed with his proposals out of concern that the New Republic's focus on freedom could lead to a revolt among the largely Entymal slave labor used by her corporation.

Ib Dekeet was an Imperial governor who was stationed in the Outer Rim Territories. Dekeet was one of the five powerful representatives present at the Pentastar Talks, and was initially hesitant to join forces with Grand Moff Ardus Kaine. However, the Grand Moff's skills as an orator and negotiator won the governor over. In particular, Governor Dekeet objected to putting the Pentastar logo on vehicles and troops under their command. Ardus Kaine pushed back on this by pointing out that the badge would strike fear and command respect within the heart of the Pentastar Alignment's enemies.

Ardus Kaine was a Human Grand Moff who founded the Pentastar Alignment, and was the successor of Wilhuff Tarkin as Grand Moff of Oversector Outer following Tarkin's death at the Battle of Yavin. His flagship was the Reaper. Following the Battle of Endor, Kaine became a breakaway Imperial warlord but soon gathered local leaders from the Velcar Free Commerce Zone and established Pentastar Alignment, an isolationist political conglomerate in the Outer Rim without interference from the newly-formed New Republic.

Gregor Raquoran was the Commerce Master Commissioner of the Velcar Free Commerce Zone.
Gregor Raquoran didn't rise to his post as Commerce Master Commissioner by being a supporter of Palpatine nor as a devotee of COMPNOR like most of his contemporaries. Instead he gained power as a corporate head and strong businessman. Specifically to rise to the rank of Commerce Master Commissioner of the VFCZ he carefully spread favors among all the Imperial officials who had a stake in the Velcar Free Commerce Zone.

In 4 ABY, he attended the Pentastar Talks, and despite believing the VFCZ was in good order, recognized the need to align with a party to avoid being absorbed into the New Republic. Consequently he signed the Pentastar Alignment Treaty, joining the Pentastar Alignment.

Wyrn Otro worked for Galentro Heavy Works corporation, unswervingly loyal as he regarded it as his only family. He represented the corporation at the Pentastar Talks in 4 ABY. While he signed the Pentastar Alignment Treaty, recognizing the need to align with a party to avoid being absorbed into the New Republic, he had personal reservations about Moff Ardus Kaine, worrying that the formation of the Pentastar Alignment was only a way to gain personal power.

The Faction:
The Pentastar Alignment, also known as the Pentastar Alignment of Powers, was a corporate conglomerate that politically administered fourteen sectors in the Outer Rim in the galaxy and was headquartered on Entralla. A remnant of the Galactic Empire, it was largely isolationist, with the New Republic for the most part ignoring the Alignment. However, the Pentastar Alignment was annexed into the Imperial Remnant in 12 ABY.

The Pentastar Alignment was formed from a splinter faction of the Galactic Empire led by Ardus Kaine in what was the "Velcar Free Commerce Zone" in 4 ABY after the Pentastar Talks. Effectually seceding from the Empire, the corporate entity sought not to join the newly-formed New Republic and be left alone without interference from it.

In 8 ABY, the Pentastar Alignment contributed some forces to Grand Admiral Thrawn, but did not formally join him during his campaign in 9 ABY. One year later, the resurrected Emperor Palpatine began to reunite various Imperial splinter factions and rump states, as part of pre-Operation Shadow Hand, in an effort to topple the New Republic. The Pentastar Alignment allied with Palpatine's resurrected clone in 10 ABY. However, Kaine was assassinated by the New Republic during the campaign over the planet Palanhi. The loss of their leader and many forces during the failure of Operation Shadow Hand lead to the Alignment returning to its isolationist stance. The Alignment continued on in a weakened state that was finally absorbed into the Imperial Remnant in 12 ABY.
