Description
I found this currawong in my backyard just after he had managed to find a worm. I just missed out on getting a shot of him with the worm in his beak. I had already named it ... "The Early Bird".The name currawong was first recorded in 1925-30, from the Dharuk word gu-ra-wa-run.
I like the blue/black colouring of the currawong.

Wow, he's tame! He looks a lot like our Crows but ours have no white on them

He's a lot like the crow or magpie except for the bill, yellow eyes, a white patch on his wing and white tip and underparts of its tail.

Thank you very much Anna! If I'd been a minute earlier I'd have caught him with a worm!

It's an Australian native, similar to a magpie.
