I think it's about admiring the flower fragrance.
Beautiful capture with lovely bokeh again. Β

The birds love the banksia flower Ania. They're always in the tree. And it's not just birds, sometimes big flying foxes (bats) hang upside down and eat the nectar.

So, I see that this flower is a real dainty for different kind of animals.
Thank you Peter, for this knowledge pill! Β

You're right there Kay! lol When you get a tree full of them it can be very noisy!

It's 6am and I've just been out the back looking at a bunch of cockatoos in my high tree. They were squawking and generally disturbing the peace! lol They were VERY noisy! Sometimes they can be a bit too much, especially at 5am! lol I don't know which is loudest? The cockatoos, the rainbow lorikeets, the kookaburras or the flyingfoxes (bats)? Speaking of flying foxes, I was a friends place at dusk yesterday and we saw thousands of bats! They flew past for about 20 minutes! I'd never seen so many! They didn't say where they were going! lol It's an amazing sight! They are so big!
It doesn't matter, I love seeing them all Kay.

This morning there were some lorikeets in my Robinia tree. I tried to get some photos, but it was hard when they move about among the foliage. However, I did get plenty of blurry shots of leaves! lol

I will have to work out some day how many shots I take that are blurry or have a terrible composition compared to the shots I am happy with. lol Probably about 200:1!!! Thank goodness for digital photography!
