Milton Park south of Sydney near Bowral in the southern highlands has some beautiful gardens. It's a luxury hotel now.I've got no mind to worry,
close my eyes and drift away

No, unfortunately I didn't stay there. It is way out of my price range. I just went to look at the gardens. I used to take my mother there to see the bluebells and the other wonderful flower displays.

The gardens are lovely. There are bluebells everywhere and it's a great place to walk around. Of course you have to pay even to do that. lol

Wow! What a gorgeous place ... Oh to be rich! As it is, I reckon I couldn't even afford a cup of tea or coffee there!! LOL! But, like everyone else, I can dream - I'm sure George Clooney will be sweeping me off my feet any day now!! LOL!

Once I went there and the guy at the gate said it was closed for a private function. lol That didn't stop me, I drove up and parked for a while. I still managed to wander around, although I think I was bit under-dressed! The men were all wearing suits!

You should have 'mingled' (despite the lack of suit) - that way you might have been thought to be part of the function and ended up with a free meal! LOL!

Yes, I was quite daring that day. Normally I am quite shy and reserved.
I know in the UK you have many beautiful old historic residences, but in Australia they're few and none more than 200 years old. Milton Park was built in 1911 by Anthony Horden.
The photos remind me of my mother and sister who since died. I have many happy memories of the visits to Milton Park with them. The photos are special to me and that is why I put them up.
