Either way Kei only grew more against her once she discovers who he was, also because she only human she seems like 'a weak and useless girl' in his eyes. So he lies to her, about meeting up after they reach the shore. He also imagine she would never leave, not while those police waited around patrolling the village.

He was wrong though.. Despite how much Kei looks down on her his IBM actually decides not to harm her as they are still mystery, lucky she can't see it right now.
