Sure, I try hard to make my lighting noticeable yet not overwhelming and I think you got it down.

If it helps, here I only chose the light source, used an air brush with a pastel yellow color on the edges I wanted to illuminate and settled the layer on ‘overlay’. Then you fiddle with the opacity and the amount of light you want (:
