I use a Canon 400D. This particular photo is very old, I took this just using a normal household lamp with a daylight effect bulb.

I think this photo is absolutely wonderful and I am sure some people will do something nice with it. I mean, just see THIS mindblowing work! It's totally normal that many save the download file, only some add it to their favs and even less actually work with the picture. Above all you will like only 10% of the manips that will be done from it (knowing all that from my own stock on ~LilyStox ). I hope you will think about your decision to remove some of your stock! I downloaded this picture as well (though you wrote that you removed it) but it must wait for a good moment and project. I acknowledge your effort with a

Thank you & recently I've been thinking about making it available for download again because so many people seemed to like it. I just get agitated when so many people download it but hardly any of them actually use it, maybe that's just what stock's all about though.
I haven't had this stock account for very long so I didn't really know what to expect to be honest.

your stock is beautiful. Have you considered making stock packages that have previews of larger images that people can purchase from you?
I'm more than willing to pay for images that are worth it

How are people meant to know if they can use it without downloading it to check the size, quality etc?
I am a stock artist over on `pendlestock and I am well aware my textures can be downloaded hundreds of times and be used on maybe 8 or 9 separate occasions. My most popular stock background has been downloaded 2,745 times and used about 60 times. No skin off my nose, people download images to store for future use - whatever's easiest for them.
I'm not condemning your decision, far from it, I have silly rules on some images, what I'm trying to do is explain how these figures come about.

I know what you mean but I feel like I'm wasting my time on this sometimes since people don't tend to follow the rules correctly 100% of the time, which I knew would happen but I didn't think it would be this annoying.
It's when people start making money off my best stock photo's, when I clearly said no prints, I don't like it and then they have a go at me when I ask them to remove the print.
This is why I've decided to remove a few of my best stock photo's from being used and left the one's I'm not so keen on still available for download, as I'm not so annoyed if they get used without following the rules correctly.

No one makes money off prints 
I don't generally allow off site commercial use but DA prints... really, mostly they just sit in the galleries not being bought. It's not worth the stress.
It's a learning curve, especially when it's your face, you just have to think before uploading really.

I did think about it & like I said I knew not everyone would abide by the rules 100%.. but still I'm the sort of person that doesn't stand for being messed about & if someone's doing something I don't like with my stock I'll do something about it.
