"Ah... Luna. You think you know what loneliness is? Hm.. That's cute...."So here was something I had actually drawn a long time ago, and long forgotten about. I came across it and decided to give it a quick color. The ground on which she walks on turns to cold, sharp, icy crystal. I think it would've turned out a little better if I didn't have the lineart there.

Well... I guess she has a point. Luna may not have been as beloved as her sister - perhaps not beloved very much at all - but as a royal diarch its hard to believe she was truly isolated.

Yep. Plus she always had her sister to turn to, since I highly doubt Celestia would turn Luna's concerns away. There were options.

I'm only speaking of her "pre-Nightmare" existence, of course. Being trapped on/in the moon for a thousand years is pretty freaking alone.
Hopefully she was already completely insane before then.

I was as well. But yes, being trapped on the moon would be pretty lonely. However it was her own jealousy that got her into that situation. So that's what I meant by her being able to talk to Celestia.
