I think this artwork really suit Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, I can imagine the girl playing this. This piece is really deep, melancholic, beautiful, the colors you used give a kind of cold feeling, similar to the ones you get when you learn someone you were close to died.
I have looked at this carefully, I can truly say that I love each details of this piece, of course I love them because of how you made them look like, but I also love them because of the way you could have made me have many interpretations of these details, I could honestly look at this drawing for hours just so I could try to understand it more.
Also, I have to say that I'm sorry for your loss.

Thank you for such warm and insightful comment. It was interesting to read about the feelings this picture evoked in you. The idea behind this piece was to contain a sense of trance-like melancholia and wistfulness. It's about becoming aware of the fact that our existence is only a temporary state, that it will soon be over. It's about embracing the cold.
It was also interesting to see how the environment you are working in (that is drawing in the room of a person who passed away several months ago) influences your mindset. The memories are still alive and you begin to think and feel in a different way.

You don't have to thank me, there's no problem! I personally think that existing and living are two different things, living is, in my opinion, a temporary state like you said, but I think that existing is deeper, as humans we think, feel and dream, and everything that countains our thoughts, dreams and feelings exist, because we consider them. Artists can find ways to represent the things they want to exist, and that's why they exist (Oh my, I'm so sorry if you don't understand what I'm trying to say). Your great-grandmother inspired you to draw this amazing piece, a part of her is engraved in your artwork and you will probably think of her when you will see your work, by thinking of her, you make her exist
I understand what you mean and agree with you, the artwork that is made by an artist always look different depending on the artist's mood, if they're in a deep, melancholic mood, the artwork's theme will be different than if the artist was in an angry mood, or an happy mood, and like you said places, environments, influences the way you can feel or think, if you drew the same, exact picture in a different place, even though the two pictures would look the same, the feelings will be different, the fact you've drawn it in the room of someone who died, especially a relative of yours, makes your drawing deeper and more wistful
