IXA, from Kamen Rider Kiva.

This is going to sound weird, but I had the urge to draw something in colour on a standard 8-and-a-half-by-11 sheet of paper. This is somewhat less weird when you realize such pages are a lot easier to scan than my somewhat cumbersome sketchbook, but it's still definitely non-standard artistic motivation. BUT YAY, COLOURS, I KINDA MISSED YOU.

I love drawing robots and power suits, you guys. LOVE IT. Kamen Rider is like a dream come true in that respect, plus it has explosions and people getting punched in the face a lot. That part isn't really relevant, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. |D I was actually not that crazy about Kiva, I think because it was heavy on the romantic plot elements and I am in toku for the 'splosions and fighting and junk because basically on the inside I am a nine-year-old boy I guess. BUT Kiva did have people getting punched in the face (I cannot stress how important this is, okay) and some very sexy suit designs.

You know, this might explain why I will be single for the rest of my life.

SO YEAH, IXA.

(MID-SERIES SPOILERS, go go go!) You know who's actually wearing IXA in the screenshot I drew this from? Kengo. I mean, if I didn't know and you told me to guess, he would be my... sixth guess, I think. After that I'd probably start naming characters from other series or something. (Hence the title, btw; IXA changes hands kind of a lot.) Kengo was a bit of a jerk by that point, but he sure delivered in the 'punching/kicking people in the face' department which made it really hard for me to not like him. MAN I LOVE YOU KENGO. I AM TOTALLY MOVED BY YOUR ROCK. <3 Also I am stupid. (END SPOILERS)

Semi-technical stuff: Some of the lines are kinda shakey, mainly in the upper lefthand section of the face; I haven't inked anything in a while so I'm kind of out-of-practice, so yeah... Also the ink bled a bit in the lower righthand corner, which made me rage a;sklhgd dude so not awesome. And I got lazy in colouring the background, hence some colourfail mainly on the lefthand side. Blah blah blah this sucks that sucks but overall I'm pretty happy with it because my complaints are admittedly fairly pedantic. I LIEK SHADING AND DRAWING POWER SUITS and apparently repeating myself. Eheh, so anyway.
