They're both based off of the plague doctors. That's probably why you see them as similar, but SCP 049 is wearing a Venetian fiend mask and according to the documents,

I pointed out the fact that they're based from the same origin. The details I brought up were purely showing that they are not the same.Β Well, the references from the game would suggest otherwise. They look quite different.Β There is much more detail in Locklear's design.
Maybe you should consider the references from the different series before bringing it up. (Madame Macabre has addressed this before -->PSA )Β
By the way, it's very rude of you to have compared them. Madame Macabre worked hard on her character and there was a lot of thought put into it.

Yeah yeah yeah "its rude to compare art with anything else" really when you dont know if she takes offense to it do ya? No. Ive said it before and she was nice and told me about all the same stuff you have said. And she was nice about it so i dont think shes offended. Ive done it before and the artists either have agreed with me or simply didnt care about it. I did it before and she was okay with it. Besides i can do it if i want to cause i have the freedom to do it. But when i do its just how i see it and it can be used with constructive critisism. If people compare my art with something, if i know what it is i might agree with them. Am i offended? No. Cause i dont really care too much about what anyone else thinks.

Madame Macabre and I talk quite frequently and I brought it to her attention yesterday.Β
She gets annoyed that people keep comparing her work to something that is extremely different with barely any effort put into it. I'm just letting you know that you comparing her work to something like this is disrespectful.Β
She doesn't want to be rude to anyone, so she puts up with these comments, but she sure as heck feels offended by them. Just because she was patient with you, doesn't mean she wasn't offended.
Just because you have the freedom to say something, doesn't mean you should. Especially if it's offending someone you claim to enjoy.Β
Your comment wasn't constructive criticism in any way, shape, or form. You compared her work to the work of someone else. --> "He really makes me think of 049..."Β

Excuse you, but Doctor Locklear is her character. She designed him and wrote his story.

Actually, the reason I addressed your comment is, because Madame Macabre was frustrated about people constantly degrading her work with comments like yours. Seeing as I don't like nice people getting stressed out over stuff like this, I was just attempting to speak up in her defense.Β

The way you're speaking suggests that you're only watching her to keep tabs on her and to inconvenience her.Β
You see, I am not comparing your work to anything. You're bringing up something that isn't even relevant to the topic at hand. Just because you have 71 watchers who may or may not interact with you, doesn't make your situation anywhere similar to Madame Macabre.Β
She gets notifications for all of her work and will go through the comments. She sees someone like you making comments like this and it causes a flood of people commenting about how "It's SCP 049!!" when the truth of the matter is, they are completely different characters.Β
From what you've said, you're saying that you don't see how someone commenting that your character is basically just a carbon copy of someone else's less detailed, less developed character as offensive.Β
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell that people don't like having their original works demeaned.Β
