A gunshot rang through the forest and ricocheted off the cement at your feet. "We have to run!" Rake grabbed your hand, swung you over his back, and dashed into the forest. You heard shouts along with heavy running footsteps. "I can't believe you missed that damn creature! You could've killed that girl!" Said a male voice "Just shut up and catch up that thing!" a second male voice shouted. Rake ran faster, dodging branches and trees. "Who are these people?" You ask "I'll explain later!" Rake continued to run.
As you came up on a highway Rake skidded to a stop "what do we do now!?" You panicked slightly "what do you think we're going to do!". He paused for a moment, then jumped on top of a red mini van, piercing the roof with his claws and jumping to another car. You gasped out of both fear and excitement. He jumped to another car and broke his hand through the roof "you have to drive!".
"What?!" He grabbed the woman driving the car, she was screaming that she had a family and begging him to let her live. Rake kept the car steady with his foot as he threw her off the 30 foot tall bridge and into the lake at the bottom. He climbed in to the passenger seat and you slid into the driver's seat quickly grabbing the wheel. You drove at around 70 mph, ten miles above the speed limit "Where should I go?!" He pointed to an exit "there!" You cut across two lanes. Luckily you didn't cause a wreck, but the chaos on the highway was worse than ever. When Rake had jumped across the cars, he had caused many crashes.
"You know how to get to the abandoned church, right?" You look at Rake, nod, then look back to the road "trust me, I know this place like the back of my hand, I'm (y/n) by the way!". "Good to know! Now drive!".

You slow the car to a stop and step out ( you know how to drive a car, deal with it) "why did we come here?" Rake was already walking towards the front door. You run up to him and saw the truly sad look in his eyes "this is where they tried to help me..." his voice was full of ear piercing sadness "(y/n), picture this, you're dangling off a cliff and every time you try to pull yourself up, you fall a little further. You keep climbing and slipping, climbing and slipping... and when things seem hopeless and you want to let go, someone holds there hand out for you, what do you do?" He looked directly into your eyes "(y/n), I pushed that hand away, and I'll never get it back...".
