SPOILERRRRSSS.OKAY but the part in OFF where you go to the room and you see Dedan from ages ago and he's so kind and he sees Hugo crying and offers his coat to dry his tears on fucking kiLLED ME.
i'm STILL SAD.

This was my favorite part in the whole game! It showed that Dedan wasn't always a jerk.

Same. He's pretty much my fave of the three guardians even without knowing about that level, but getting to the point where they were all acting so nice...that was it's own element of trippy.

I think it happens in "the room". It's when the batter is going around and visiting all the guardians on Hugo's map and he visits the "tall man". There's a line where Dedan must have seen Hugo close to tears sometime in the past, and so he offers his coat to dry them.
I totally took artistic license with this scene though.

Dedan's intentions when becomeing the zone leader must have been noble at first. But he ultimately turned into a tyrant. ):
Perhaps he had no choice. The Elsen are pretty insufferable, I imagine he had to be more scary tha the spectres in order to keep them working...
