I think the square crop really works well to add to the strength of the image. And it does conjure up images of Ents!

The way that the subject seems to be searching the ocean for lost companions is very captivating. The contast in color adds a great deal to the overall tone of the image.

Wow, it is so hard to find someone who can actualy capture the essence or the soul of the world, just by using a camera. You are extremely talented! You are probably the reason 4 the saying " a picture holds a thousand words", but in this case, it is a thousand emotions...
