This was a music inspired piece from the song Counting Stars by One Republic. Honestly I was just driving along when the song came on and I thought of it. When I got home I basically played the song on repeat and drew what ever came to mind. So here you go!Β ΒRelated content

I read your story on the forum, and it's a wonderful story, I love that you could bring that much joy to someone, and I can honestly see why this captured your cousin. It's a stunning image, full of passion and life. I would imagine you really put all of your feeling in to this image, because it feels like it could spring to life at any moment, like I can hear the burning of the flames crackling along the grasses. Amazing job, and I'm so happy it could make your cousin so happy!

This really is a great composition. The way the extreme brightness in the middle enraptures the dark silhouette of the figure does it justice. Then the fire rises leading your eye up to the moon where it is brought back down by the dark of the night sky. You can tell there was emotion put into this piece and it's something that isn't really easy to bring out for a lot of people so foster that ability and strengthen that aspect you have.
Now for what I don't particularly like about the piece. From a distance it reads really well but if it were at a more normal size that a person were to view it it becomes a bit rough. By that I mean it seems unrefined in a lot of areas and a bit muddled especially in the dress area. Also the dark arc of the grass is good where you can tell it is grass but then it becomes too pure black I feel. A bit of form shown through the reflection of the bright fire on some blades could have made this really intense. Other then that pretty nice job!Β
