It is a grebe or a cormorant, no?
Nice minimalistic composition. Though, had i cropped it, i would have taken out a bit of the bottom, as has already been said, and tried to include a bit more over the head of the critter, and down the left hand side too. This said, i still enjoy it very much

I love this one. It`s so peaceful.
The composition is excellent. The wave simply direct my eyes to the duck.
The blue color gives a cold, still feeling. The gradient is so beautiful

Beautiful photograph. I love the placement of the duck in the photograph and the contrast within the water's colour.

This looks really beautiful. The blending of the different tones of blue in the water is so rich and serene, and the image of the duck, even though it's small, is very captivating. There's something that's very encouraging about the small duck swimming in such a vast amount of water. Keep up the great work!

The colors here are awesome! I've never seen water look like that... The duck adds just enough realistic effect to reassure me that this is a photo, rather than a gradient. Good job ^_^

I must agree with bipolarbear. I love the simplicity and the range of blues here. There is a feeling of vastness and serenity that beckons. I wonder if the focus or something else could be changed to make the duck a little sharper. However, being sharper may or may not improve it. The ripples are mesmerizing. The only other thing has also been mentioned. It's either grain or digital artifacts, but the purity of the image makes every little imperfection show. Thanks for sharing this.

its the scanner im using. unfourtunatly i dont have access to a negative scanner. So i had to get a print done, then scanned the print. So its a Scan of a Scan

Ah. If you have a few extra dollars, you might take the neg into a professional lab that does negative scanning. Try to get them to save it as a TIFF, rather than JPEG.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOW! this picture is really great! i like how the duck...or goose is all alown in this...and how you can see it's train in the water...also the fact that the trail is the only thing disturbing the water...very calming

Great shot. The water is nice and smooth, with a soothing tone of blue. The duck is a little out of focus, but that doesn't hurt it much. Can you tell me what settings you used exactly to take this?

Taken with a Canon Rebel Ti, Using a Canon EF 28-90mm II lens, with a Circular polizer on it. F-Stop of 5.6 not sure of the Shutter but it was proably around 1/125 or 1/250. Shot on Kodak Elite Chrome Extra color 100

out of the three I saw, I like this one the most! I completely agree with what bipolorbear said so I will not repeat. If this had been my picture, I might have cropped the bottom a little.
Overall, I think you have the "eye"

noise came from the scanner. Its orginaly on a slide, then a print was made then a scanned. On the original slide there is no noise, I might try and rescan, maybe...

Although there's some noise, I really like this. I love the minimalist idea, the color gradient, and the ripples. Nice work.
