I figured some people would actually want to see this drawing up close rather than just from my Dev ID... So I decided to upload it.This was drawn with prismacolor pencils on Bristol.
This was a commission. Believe it or not, I collided like 2 or 3 references photos together to make this.. It was a bit different for me, but I think it turned out pretty well. I struggled a bit as an artist trying to get all the colors exact since marines have such formal attire.

This is a very beautiful piece. Very tightly rendered colored pencil work! The only thing that bothers me slightly is the perspective of the medals on his chest look a bit off. They look like they're floating a bit. Anyways, that's my critique

Yeah I definitely agree with you. They do seem slightly off -- but this drawing was made 5 years ago.
I know I've certainly improved since then. Once something is finalized though, I'm completely done with it. Haha.

I think what makes this is the reflection of the white cap and emblem in the brim - very nice work!

It looks like a photograph! I bet the badges are a real trick do draw right? I love how you did the hat; it's so realistically drawn that it might just pop out from the computer

Ahh, I agree it does look very much like a photograph. That's hard for me sometimes because I want people to be able to distinguish that they're drawings and not photos. It can be tough.

Ah yes colored pencils are very fun to work with
I never really work on tinted paper
I looked through the colored pencil works and traditional style works in your gallery and they look great! Just keep up the good work! Practice is the best way to go to improve. I especially love your tiger one
