zombies can't eat beef, they need humans- aand it's hella complicated, but his bf is hella locked up, if he was outside, he'd be killing people anyway, and he could get killed. alex, not wanting his bf to die, sorta tries to grab a random stranger, or an unlikable person to give to laurens- for example, my boi gave his bf an asshole murderer recently-

nahh, alex wouldnt do that to people of his group-- the whole point of keeping laurens in the camp is that no one in the group gets hurt because of it, so alex has to get people from the outside-
