Description
My artwork for Zygarde, the Dragon/Ground-Type "Z" Legendary known as the Order Pokémon from Pokémon X and Y. As soon as it was leaked last night I started drawing it. Had this art finished at 3 a.m. last night but could't get back online to upload it. Based on the images I saw, it seems some of the hexagon-shaped "scale" parts glow or sporadically blink white, so I reflected that in the artwork here. I'm kinda pleased with how this turned out.

Can someone tell me why does Zygarde look like an alien or something. Not that I'm complaining as I think he looks awesome in his own right but this has been bothering me a bit.

Its body pattern reminds me of the chemical structure of DNA or a substance, while its overall theme reminds me of Norse mythology. Such an eerie, surreal, omnipotent look it has... That's a part of what makes it look so amazing.

I think that would be most likely. Gamefreak might want to do the sequel thing again, but "Pokemon X 2 and Y2" doesn't sound as neat as "Pokemon Z"

It doesn't fit as much with this one. Black and White got sequels because of just how much the version differences impacted the games' story.

X and Y have big version differences too, the motivation of the antagonists changes depending on the version you're playing.

They will likely do the 'third' version, like Yellow was to Gen 1, and Crystal to 2. Like you said though, direct sequels for gen VI probably won't happen, and I'm fine with that.

I'm hoping they make a Z and help this guy out. He has lower stats then Xerneas and Yveltal, if he's suppose to be the Trio Master then shouldn't he be stronger then them. Also I hope he changes into a poison type because one, we're over due for a Poison type legendary and two, something needs to counter Xerneas.

We also need a Hoenn remake, If Gen 3 has Fire Red/Leaf Green and Gen 4 has Heart Gold/Soul Silver... Then why not include that too?

You know, they could have made Zygarde look like a straight up snake and I'm glad they didn't. Those things on his back make him really stand out among other snake Pokemon and he is one of the best designed legendaries to date. Also, I love how his tail is split, like instead of having a forked tongue he has a forked tail

For those who are confused by Zygarde's design:
Many fans have speculated that the two legendaries featured on Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are strongly based off of the Norse Mythology creatures. Yveltal (the Eagle-inspired legendary) is at the top of the tree, which is Asgard. Xerneas (the Stag-inspired legendary) is in the middle of the tree, which is Midgard. At the bottom of the tree is a serpent-like creature who (according to my sources) can seemingly change it's appearance.
I can definitely see the serpent shape on Zygarde. I won't lie. He looks pretty slimy, but I don't expect to see the representative of what is considered to be the "underworld" in Norse mythology as a beautiful creature. I expect it to be vile looking, and personally I feel Zygarde is about right.

This pokemon just... confuses me
i dont hate it or love it, i just... idk
its design doesn't seem like it deserves the legendary status, especially the big daddy of a legendary group
i may change my mind when i see it animated in the show and game, buts still
it looks like the took the stumpy body of a slug, gave it a really basic color scheme, smooshed the tail into a basic fin, put a paper mache flower on its neck, and gave it a wasp head
just... nothing about it says dragon/serpent to me at all as of right now
oh well
the drawing itself is very good tho

I saw this thing on Serebii and I was like 'Dafuq is that thing? O-o' XD Never would have guessed it to be an apparent legendary. Not quite accepting it as legendary yet due to lack of proof as far as i've seen though. I suppose it does that that 'look' though.

I swear, that really did happen last night though...
Okay, so maybe I wasn't quite voicing things right. Okay, it's a legendary, but I won't accept it as the game's third legendary (such as Raquaza or Giratina) until I get my own mitts on it. Until then, I'm delegating it to being the same as Heatran or the Legendary birds and other such legendaries. :I

Naw naw, i'm not disappointed. I'm just very cautious is all. Like I said, i'll just wait for either a leak from Serebii or maybe Bulbapedia as those are the only two sites I trust or just wait to see it in game when it releases tomorrow.
