OK. So, let's get one thing straight here. Batman v Superman was marketed as being a really serious movie, with a sprawling scale, built around the conflict between it's two titular characters. But, predominantly, almost every argument I see against it has the critics pulling up previous versions of the characters to talk about how bad this movie is.

So I must ask "WHAT THE HELL KIND OF TRAILERS DID Y'ALL WATCH FOR THIS MOVIE!!?!?"

I mean, my god! We're you expecting Batman to challenge Superman to a dance off? Did you not see the previous movie and it's tone? Did you just think they would do a Disney live action remake of the cartoon version of Batman and Superman's meeting? They gave every implication in the trailers and marketing just what kind of movie this was gonna be and y'all are gonna complain when it's exactly as advertised?

You don't have to like it, but jeeze, it's been 10 years and DC has already given James Gunn the keys to the kingdom so he can make twenty movies that are just Guardians of the Galaxy sequels in disguise. Just leave it alone! Literally the only thing someone could add to this conversation is actually complimenting the film! Wouldn't that be novel!?

*breathes in deeply*

I'm sorry. But this movie really does mean a lot to me. And I'm sick of people treating it like it's Plan 9 from Outer Space. Just... read the writing on the wall next time, will ya?
