you extend the picture into that area but nothing important because the bleed area is where the pages are put together.

I love the idea of people making these and putting themout there... but it looks like the "don't not draw" area on the left is larger then that on the right. I know it's the "do not draw area" but these page layout templates should be as exact as possible for best affect (in this case it would keep the main image centered). Is there reason for the skewed proportions that maybe I'm missing?

Yeah, i've gotten a suggestion about that before, its skewed because of the reference I found, so I'll look for another reference and also make the resolution higher

Yay! Thanks so much! But I have a question, what does the bleed area exactly mean?

Does have to be printed in special paper?

xPinkScissorsx In reply to JackieIchigo [2011-11-05 03:10:26 +0000 UTC]
well this is supposed to be for digital use, but I suppose you could print this on normal paper. If you want to be super professional I suggest bristol board, but if you're going to go to the lengths of buying bristol to make your own you might as well get the pre printed template bristol. Those are nice because they're actually made by the usual publishing standards, mine was just kind of a guess!^_^;;

You're welcome! Oh and if you use the bristol templates you might have to cut them so they can fit onto your scanner. I've actually had to cut out the single panels, scan them separately, and put them back together in photoshop. Totally worth it thoughXD

I shall remember these wise words (_ _) *bow*
on last question.
What tools can i use on bristol templates?
(like water colors ect.)

xPinkScissorsx In reply to JackieIchigo [2011-11-06 04:06:04 +0000 UTC]
Well, anything really. Watercolors work great on bristol because its thick and wont bend all that much,but get vellum because its smoother so it will look better with most tools like colored pencils.:]
Glad I could help!
