Owl!? where did you find a dead owl?! *envy* i mean i feel terrible that it died but i love owls they are my favorite, but if i found a dead owl, i'd be all over poking it studying it up close snapping pics for reference taking notes.
kind of like when i found a dead red tailed hawk, i found it in the winter when everything was frozen, i studied it for days.

it looks like an owl to me!! dunno what kind though, doesn't look like a snowy owl, they live in canada right? i think so....
but then again i don't know what a dead owl looks like.
you're lucky, however knowing me, i'd take pics and give it a full blown funeral too, but that's just me....
( i gave a funeral for a firefly two summers ago, i used a walnut shell for the coffin)
