Im obssesed with they font. I need to try and use different kinds...This. pic. is. so. crap-tastic *shot for using Mandiiv's word* Oof. Sorry for making your charrie look messed up Arrow ;~;
As you can see, I tried CGing in a diffferentstyle, which took me foreeeveer to do. And after all that time I spent on it, Im not happy with how it came out...Alot of things look wrong but, I decided to post it because I spent way too much time on it not too xP I messed up .__.
I wanna thank *Kycha . because I probbably wouldn't have even tried CGing like this If she hadnt helped me, and her art kinda got me in the mood for trying it out, and so I did^^ *high five* I also wanna thank some c00l artists that had inspired me as well. Mainly OSirois, Kycha and Bolt. But I could never CG like them...X.x *worship*
Anyhow, this is for because I missed his birthday by like...*looks at calendar* forever xP And I just wanted to draw him something...It's Arrow is Super form, my style I guess...Sorry that it's not exactly what you had in miind...
I had did it green because I heard it's your favorite color...Sorry that I changed up his gloves a bit. Meep.*sigh* It looked good at first, but now...I dunno. I may edit it later and add more stuff to iit...This is my first time CGing like this though. So be niiice please...Critism welcomed. Im trying to see what I did wrong and such. Just don't bash me or anything o.O Sorry about th boring BG though ;.;

Anyway, this is suberb. I think you are totally getting better with your CGing. Honestly! I have nothing to crit about(and I know I do that many of times, not to be mean...but to help). It's so shiny and bright I know coloring like this takes forever. It does with oekaki and that's the closest I've come to CGing. You had to get the correct hues and make the color blend and stuff....right?
Once again, you're being hard upon yourself. Love your work. I do. This is awesome, you're going to be an awesome CG artist one day.
As for font, use it in a way it helps. Don't use it in a way it looks stupid. Trust me. Sometimes it's unessary and the wrong font can hurt you.

Hmm, I dunno how to explain EXAcTLY how I CGed like that...But the tools I used was the Dodge, Smudge, and Burn tools mainly...And the BG? I first duplicated the layer, after first using the magic eraser to erase the BG (into a transparency) and then afterwards, I went to "Layer" on the tool bar above the screen and then I started fiddling around there with the "Layer styles" and all after adding whatever desired BG you want of course...

Well, to start off, like everyone else has said, the color has a great deal of 3D-ishness in it; The depth of the shadow and that contrast to the shininess (which is so shiny and makes him sexy XD ) really just comes out and makes the viewer go "WOAH... O_O;" The detail you put in the quills are really eye-catching. Actually, the eyes are eye-catching, too. 
And your backgrounds always rock...so... *throws a water balloon at you*

As I said before, this image is truly amazing! I love the way the shiny metallic colors seem like liquid, and they melt into eachother. Seems very fitting. -- And, if you think about it, Green is a complimentary color for Red, so this worked out nicely. (Hmm, maybe that's why I always draw Shadow in a green cape?)
The pointing spines really help give the illusion of a super form! Very creative way of doing it, too.
Not to mention, your background is a million times better than anything I could have conceived. Congratulations. He'll love this.

I heard that in my Art classes, I just wish I payed more attention than sleeping...XD I had really just went with an instict I had that was telling me to use something with orange, yellow and red. Mainly because it would match Arrow's eye color adn all and that it goes well with Green.
You're like the master at backgrounds IMO...X.X I think you couldve came up with something better. I had JUST figured out how to add stuff like that in to the BG by fiddling around with the layer properties and stuff like that. *is slow*

For your first time CGing like this Meg, you did an excellent job. The 3D effects look absolutely amazing. Very good details on his quills. Simply lovely. Honetly, I dun think you give yourself enough credit. This looks simply stunning. The BG isn't boring at all. It contrasts very well with the colors of Arrow's eyes and fur color. And I must say that the quill proportions are excellent. Very good. ^^ The eyes look awesome. Yuss indeedy~ Personally, I see nothing wrong with this picture. ^^ It looks simply amazing. I'm sure Arrow will love it. Keep up the excellent work, my friend :hug

Absolutely great 3D effect! So shiny! And the BG is not boring; the shades of colors of the BG really works with the green of the character!

you know?, I know what's your problem, about how you look at you art after working a lot in it, I feel the same way, maybe looking at it all the time, trying to get it look perfect, bore you as I do, well.. not bore, but you began seeing all this little and insignificant mistakes that only you can see, and you begin thinking that is horrible while people tell you its awesome and stuff.. O_o oh sorry for my noncense... anyway.. you did great Meg, I'm so really proud of you..

*nod, nod* Thats how I feel alright...one moment it looks good and a few days later it looses that certain spark it had and I start to see those waht seems unnocticeable mistakes that others don't as you have said...But, I will just have to keep drawing and get better..And hopefully I'll get over that somehow...We'll see.
