There is a lot I like about this one and I feel that I am clearly improving, however there is still something off about it to me. I can't put my finger in what it is though.Related content

Hey, nice painting. There is a lot of detail that's pretty cool. The star field and nebula especially. The one thing that I keep coming back to is I'm looking for a reason the planet explodes, and can't figure it out. It almost looks like the planet ran into the rings, but that doesn't make much sense. Did gravity do it? That's my take on it. Don't read too much, I barely feel qualified to make a critique on it anyway. The colors and impact are there. It would make a cool poster that I'd have no problem hanging on my wall!

I think it looks fantastic. The colors may be off a bit on the moon or planet that is blowing up. They seem a bit bright in the pink/red department. That's just my two cents, so feel free to do with it as you like However, I think you did a great job AJ. Quite realistic looking. Very much like the gasses in the back ground. The rings on the planet might be a bit to perfect, but hey, it's your intergalactic world right? Sorry this is so long, but I am told I have to write 100 words.
