Description
An empty street with broken windows,Kids in rags with nowhere to go.
To you it might be where vandals roam,
But to me, its home.
Graffiti walls, hopeless lives,
In the night walk with knives.
Screaming children, pregnant whores,
Heroin addicts behind closed doors.
Looks like such an empty place,
People walk by with disgust on their face.
It may look like a hopeless mess,
But I see love and happiness.
Behind each door-a different tale,
Some of which may turn you pale.
You can judge us on our looks,
But we don’t need your wise ass books.
We’re happier than you’ll ever be,
So we don’t need your pity.
Go back to your corporate American ways,
And leave us to live many happy days.
