ship bio:

a month into the clone wars, a certain spartan found himself in need of a personal starfighter, as his personal ship, the silverfang was not yet ready for service.

taking a look at the jedi temple's starfighter motor pool, no single fighter stood out, at least, until he spotted the Delta-7 Aethersprite.

despite it's advantages over other fighters, it still possessed several weaknesses that were questionable to the spartan, namely the lack of an internal hyperdrive, shields, and a secondary weapons system.

to a spartan, shields and a hyperdrive are situational at best.

the lack of a secondary weapon, however, is unacceptable.

not only does this limit the flexibility of the fighter, but, as most pilots, and the majority of ground forces will say going into a fight with only one weapon is real stupid, as the second you loose your primary, you've got nothing left but your skills to keep you alive.

3 aetherspites and 2 more weeks later, the spartan had the beginnings of a fighter he could be happy with.

special features equipped:

Powerplant: ultracompact high energy battery, power output rating: 3 months continuous use, technology based off Spartan's hybrid armor fusion power core module.

propulsion:

2 x sublight drives, 5,000g acceleration limit.

1 x system based off Syluire-31 hyperspace drive docking ring, nominal class rating of 1.0, after upgrades 0.6(comparable to acclimator class assault ship)

1 x advanced regenerative deflector shield system, components installed inline with hyperdrive.

1 x taim and bac nxc3a seeker launcher, mounted ventrally along hull centerline, max 10x rounds.

covert tactical modifications:
hull modifications include photoreactive plating over a layer of 2cm thick nanite applied trinium plate, capable of hiding craft from visual and sensor detection, frame re-enforced with 2cm thick of nanite applied trinium.

max operating time of stealth features is 30 minutes at full power, before system offlines.

shields will not engage with camouflage active.

notes:

a friend was kind enough to do up the original frame at my request, however, when I saw the finished result, I went nuts, and rapidly produced a modified upgraded version.

alot of the tech and upgrades are from other series, but, they are items I feel would help bring out the full potential of the design.

I actually had alot of fun with this, despite the pain the aft ventral hull gave me, as I had to mirror that curved piece just behind the cockpit.

again, that said, this was a fun design to work.
