battlestar ships of the recently concluded battlestar galactica dont use things like shields, the author of the original version of this ship has informed me that this ship is designed to be fast.

the below is an excerpt from the description:

Hanger is internal, relatively small Viper capacity, couple of squadrons at most. Mainly Raptors and Assault shuttles. Its main mission is ship to ship combat & boarding actions and supporting Assaultstars in planetary assaults. Its much faster than a Battlestar, without having the added weight of flight pods. Range is less than a Battlestar as well, its not designed for long patrols.

the refits I introduced place emphasis on enabling distance engagement, plus, alot of her support hardware is protected by armor plate, as such, you wont see things like engine intercoolers, or her close in point defense guns.

That shape is going to give you trouble with the shields and those outdated Techal-72i engines are way too underpowered for something that size and engines sticking out from the main craft could present many problems with servicing the ship during battle. I foresee many overheating problems in the propulsion systems and shields or just over heating in the propulsion and weak spots in the shielding.
you will not be able to market these very well to any performance minded company or government agency.
