This song always reminds me of summertime, and if you're curious as to why its because when I was little, like, 4-5 years old, Thats when my mum and dad were still together, like, at least, I didnt notice any problems even though there were. And we'd always go to the beach when we lived in florida. And all the time in the car, around 11am this song would ALWAYS come on, along with Follow Me by Uncle Kracker, and nya, I dunno, it makes me feel nostalgic to think of the one of the only good times we really had with my dad, when him and mum weren't fighting or something. Even though I'm scared of the ocean, I'd like to see it again and be on the beach and such.

Ha.. Funny thing is when I think of this song, the image I see is looking out the car window [which I could only see over if I sat on my towel cause i was so young] and watching the ocean and sand grasses as we drew closer to the beach we were heading to. I miss being young and being so extremely happy to go to the beach as a family, eat sandwhiches, run from the seagulls, and laugh as they stole food from us anyways. Making sand alligators [yeah we didnt make sand castles, we made alligators, and turtles] burying my dad in the sand.

Blah. I dont want to glorify him or anything, as he was a druggy and a drinker, and he hit my mum, fractured her skull once by throwing her into something, I dont remember what.

But when I was young enough not to notice what was wrong, it was my childhood.
