What a beautiful piece of work this is, I can even see some of the textural relief in the photo. I love all of it, and that detailing in the black is amazing! There are so many wonderfully blended contrasts, combined with your always bold and powerful colours, that this stands out from every aspect. Another great work from you.

she must be mounted on a cradled wood panel and then Dennis can have a party with her

The poppies will dry soon enough I think. 
Dennis will definitely have a party with her, but it will be a bit tricky shipping her here that's for sure, but I know you will do a good job with that.
She will look amazing when she's done and Dennis and I will pick out the most ornate thing we can for her.

you know what crossed my mind? to prepare a dozen of small canvas boards, small like i dont know, 20x25 cm? and do some experimenting with several techniques, using oils. Maybe some impasto, working with the texture alongside with the improvising a limited color pallet. And the same i would want to do with some sketching. Small figures, mostly ethereal, ghostly like, in graphite.On paper of course

That sounds like a marvellous idea.
You could really experiment and see what works the best together. I have always loved seeing textured pieces on limited pallets as the shadows become part of the overall work.
The sketching sounds very interesting as well, and I can even clearly picture it in my minds eye as you describe it here.
I can't wait to see all of it.

it was fun to do
it started all wrong if you believe it, with watercolor washes on canson mi teintes which is a rather light weight paper (only 160gms/m2) but it endured remarkably the washes.
Next stage i went with iridescent acrylics over the watercolor layer and in the end i added water soluble wax pastels that i of course diluted with water
I was sure my paper was going to fall in ruins but nope! It endured
and as a final touch (since i didnt want a glass in front of it during framing) i double coated it and will varnish it tomorrow, so it will be framed mounted on a wood panel
it worked well against the odds

The composition of the piece really works well I think. Interesting, different and unique and the model is very pretty which clearly helps. Very colorful too, never did like varnish on anything but sure does beat making frames if one can just mount it simply like a painting.
