Dia de los muertos is the day of the dead, a holiday in mexico. The decals on the girls reminded me of sugar skulls.

Well an adoptable (which is what this girl is) is a design/character that you buy and the design is yours. You can draw it, make a fursuit out of it, roleplay with it, do whatever you want with it. Afterall once you buy it you own it.
Oh well I wasn't going for day of the dead theme.
